I have a love/hate relationship with the month of August. 😅

To me, August marks the end of summer & holidays but it’s also a bridge to new beginnings, a time of transition between the year that’s gone by and the year to come.

I’m taking this time to reflect on what I’ve loved this past year, what I want to cherish & hold on to and what to let go. Physically and symbolically.

One of those things is to learn to love & accept myself for who I truly am. Embracing my qualities, accepting my flaws. Being at peace with what I love and the life I want to leave. Letting go of the hold other people’s opinions have over me. Cherishing my sensitivity, my ability to love with passion.

It may sound silly but starting posting consistently on instagram is apart of that journey!

For the rest, I still have a couple of weeks to figure it out!

Cheers to new beginnings, to enjoying the rest of summer & preparing to greet the new year!

We loved spending ~24 hours in Aberdeen before heading back home to Paris. Last leg of our Scotland 2025 trip! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🥹

Walked around old Aberdeen, had dinner in the famous Shiprow Street, and spent the next morning visiting Footdee/ Fittie & having delicious foods by the beach!

Our favorites were the Toasties from @croque_toasties and the cinnamon bun & coffee from @foodstory.hut !

Younger me would NEVER believe me if I told her she went swimming in a river where the water was deep and not transparent, where she couldn’t see her feet but could clearly see all of the fish around her 😂 I guess its the Cancer in me 🦀♋️

The trail climbs up a hill and through the forest, past Princess Beatrice’s cairn to the top of a hill, where a cairn was erected for Prince Albert by “his broken hearted widow, Queen Victoria”. Beautiful & moving.

One of my biggest Scotland dream was to attend Highland Games and it finally happened 🙏🏼 we had to cycle 50km to do so but it was so worth it, it was everything we dreamed of and more. We just couldn’t get enough. Now Allan wants to join a tug of war team and I want to start learning highland dancing. Anyone knows how we can do that in Paris ? 😂

The ride through the countryside to Stonehaven from Banchory was just the cherry on top : gorgeous forests, misty hill tops, stone cottages… it was my first long bike ride and I think I’m hooked 🚴‍♀️

For some reason, birthdays are always kind of bitter sweet for me. I love how it makes me feel special, how I get to reflect and think about the past me, set intentions for the year to come. But it also makes me feel nostalgic, I tend to be in my own mind, thinking about the ones who are not here, the things I should or could be doing… But being by the sea, with people I love, made it mostly sweet ❤️

My intentions going into my 28th year is to be MORE. More present, more me, take more space, take more time, love more, laugh more… so cheers to a year of ABUNDANCE 🥂

The perfect combinaison of dramatic mountain sceneries and the deep turquoise blue of the ocean. Going in isn’t for the weak 🥶 but it was so worth it !!

It was my second time visiting the @cullodenbattlefield and it still shook me to my core 🥺

This place is where everything changed for Scotland, where the 1745 Jacobite rebellion tragically ended, marking the beginning of years of oppression and suffering in Scotland. During the battle, many Scots were killed and those who survived had to give up on their Scottish identity and traditions : tartan, Gaelic, clan reunions were banned…

It’s a powerful and emotive visit through the moor and the museum.

When I heard about @skyelivefest I just KNEW I had to come and see it for myself : Scottish trad music on an island ? Hell yeah!! Going to a festival on my own was clearly out of my comfort zone but it was so worth it. Discovered some amazing bands, listened and danced to great tunes, met some awesome Bretons…
